Online retailer Wildberries has begun implementing industrial robotic loaders in its warehouses. The solution will help reduce the burden on employees and optimize the operation of distribution centers. This was reported in the press service of the marketplace.
The first robot is already being tested at the "Koledino" warehouse in the Moscow region. The device was developed jointly with AstaBot, and its carrying capacity is up to 350 kg.
The transporter performs its functions autonomously or under the control of an operator. The robot can navigate in space and move around the warehouse, avoiding collisions with other objects.
According to Pavel Sapogov, Director of Innovation at the marketplace, robotization will speed up the delivery of goods to customers. Wildberries will continue to develop this area.
