Сроки ремонта автомобилей по ОСАГО в РФ увеличились до 50 дней из-за проблем с поставками запчастей

Delays are associated with payment checks with Turkey, UAE, China

The average car repair time under compulsory motor insurance has increased to 50 days due to difficulties associated with the supply of spare parts. This happened against the background of problems with payments with Turkey, UAE, China, said Evgeny Ufimtsev, head of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers.

The delay in settlements is explained by the tightening of transaction checks by foreign banks. Turkey, China and the UAE fear secondary Western sanctions. At the same time, there is no ban on the supply of spare parts to Russia as such. Partner countries check that the ordered parts are not dual-use goods that fall under US and EU restrictions.

According to the law, a car should be under repair under compulsory motor insurance for no more than 30 working days. Due to delays, insurance companies prefer to pay money to the client. As a result, the share of repairs under compulsory motor insurance has decreased to 5%.

In fact, insurance companies are shifting the problem of finding and ordering spare parts to Russians. However, there is no guarantee that the amount received under the insurance will cover the cost of repairs.
