Launch of the space freighter in a week and a half

At Baikonur, the "Progress MS-27" space freighter continues to prepare for launch. After a series of tests, it was delivered to the refueling station.

The cargo ship has been delivered to the refueling station at Site 31 for refueling with propellant components and compressed gases. After refueling, the ship will return to the assembly and testing facility at Site 254 to continue preparations for launch.
Press Service of GK "Roscosmos"

The launch of "Progress MS-27" is scheduled for May 30, and docking with the ISS should take place on June 1. It is known that food for astronauts, psychological support kits, and parcels will be sent to the ISS. Unusually, this time the parcels will include gifts for the commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, Oleg Kononenko: he will celebrate his 60th birthday in Earth orbit on June 21.

Kononenko is the world record holder for the total number of hours spent in space: more than 900 days. It is expected that after the completion of the expedition in September 2024, the astronaut's total flight time will be 1,110 days, making him the first person in the world to have spent so long in space.
