XCITE X-Cross 7 crossovers will go on sale in Russia on May 27. Cars have begun to arrive at dealers.
The car is a copy of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. The start of sales of the crossover has been postponed several times. One of the likely reasons was the statements of the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, about Chinese automakers. He complained that they are reducing prices for their products. It was alleged that after that, Chery put cooperation with AvtoVAZ on hold — the cars were originally planned to be assembled under the LADA brand.
The XCITE X-Cross 7 crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 147 horsepower and a CVT. Drive — only front. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 9.8 seconds. The car has a "winter package": heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, exterior mirrors and windshield washer nozzles.
The cars are assembled at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. The enterprise originally belonged to AvtoVAZ, but after the auto giant fell under sanctions, the site was transferred to the ownership of NAMI.
