Петербургская компания Tazmar Maritime представила портативный эхолот iBeam 8140p

The device's compactness allows it to be installed on boats

St. Petersburg-based Tazmar Maritime has introduced the iBeam 8140p multi-beam compact echo sounder, according to its CEO, Andrey Brynov.

The iBeam 8140p echo sounder is designed for surveying the seabed topography, port infrastructure, and construction of oil terminals. It operates on HiMAX Survey software.

Old echo sounder models were very large, which was inconvenient. This one consists of two cases that can be quickly assembled, installed on a vessel, and used to perform work efficiently.

The echo sounder will be particularly useful for pier construction, assisting with hydrographic surveys and seabed mapping.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian scientists developed the Vinci underwater robot.
