Russian developers have presented a new "Strela" kamikaze drone of the aircraft type. The drone has a long flight range. This was reported by representatives of the Strela Research and Production Association (NPO).
Unlike many FPV drones, the "Strela" flies over long distances, overcoming electronic warfare (EW) equipment. The flight range of the UAV with a payload of 3 kg is up to 35 km.
Specialists of NPO "Strela" also emphasized that the drone has compact dimensions. Thanks to its folding design, it can be easily transported. The maximum weight of the drone with ammunition is 7 kg.
A fighter can climb onto the roof of a destroyed building and launch the device from his hand, without a catapult. With the use of a catapult, the aircraft can carry a payload of up to 3 kg.
The drone is also suitable for use in reconnaissance purposes. The maximum flight time is 1.5 hours. The "Strela" UAV is already being successfully used by the Russian military.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Iran developed a new Shahed-107 kamikaze drone for Russia.
