Шашлычников в лесах Подмосковья начнут вычислять по сигналам смартфонов

They face fines of up to 60,000 rubles for picnics in unauthorized areas

A system for detecting groups of people by mobile phone signals has been launched in the Moscow region. Forest rangers will track the location and number of vacationers in real time.

If barbecue enthusiasts are detected, for example, in an area of coniferous trees where fire is prohibited, a duty shift of forest rangers will be dispatched to the location for inspection.

The monitoring system works on the principle of triangulation. It calculates clusters of unique subscribers and records if people are in one place for more than 15 minutes. After that, the dispatcher decides on further actions.

The Committee of Forestry of the Moscow Region reminded that arson leading to a forest fire may result in both administrative and criminal liability.

For individuals, the fine will be up to 60,000 rubles, for officials — up to 110,000, and for legal entities — up to two million. In case of serious consequences, violators face imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia has developed a system for tracking pledged property of borrowers using drones.
