Беспилотник-полицейский уже реальность

Scientists from Novosibirsk have created a police drone that operates without GPS

A flying unmanned police drone has been created at Novosibirsk State University. The project was presented to the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov.

Alexey Okunev, Director of the Higher College of Informatics at NSU, said that the flight range of the unmanned law enforcement officer is 20 km. In the future, this figure is planned to be increased to 30 km. The drone navigates the terrain without GPS and can operate without recharging for 1.5 hours.

The authors of the project want to supplement the model with an artificial intelligence system so that the unmanned police officer can make decisions on its own depending on the situation. With the help of the device, it will be easier to control security in the city.

By the end of this year, the developers will create several dozen experimental batches of such drones.

Earlier it was reported that scientists from the youth center of MSTU "Stankin" developed a drone for transporting goods.
