Второй энергоблок АЭС «Аккую» обзавелся кровлей здания турбины

Now workers will begin installing the turbogenerator

The installation of the turbine building roof has been completed at Unit 2 of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. This was reported by the press service of the Rosatom State Corporation.

The closing of the thermal circuit and the completion of roofing works will allow specialists to begin installing the turbogenerator unit. The roof of the machine room consists of nine block-trusses with a total weight of about 1.1 thousand tons.

The installation of the trusses in the turbine building required a high level of planning and organization of construction, as each truss was installed with an accuracy of up to 10 millimeters.

At the next stage, the builders will begin installing the main components and assemblies of the turbogenerator unit. The Turkish Nuclear Regulatory Agency and independent inspection organizations are carefully monitoring all work at the station construction site.

Akkuyu is the first nuclear power plant being built in Turkey. The NPP project consists of four power units with VVER generation III+ reactors, each with a capacity of 1,200 megawatts.
