Russia Creates Unique Boat with Enhanced "Survivability" for Special Forces

In Rostov-on-Don, an unsinkable boat designed for special forces was developed and successfully tested. The vessel "survived" machine gun fire and grenade attacks, demonstrating its high degree of resilience.

Aluminum boats dent and tear, plastic boats break, and, accordingly, in order to increase reliability, they decided to develop such a boat. This is a material that can withstand heavy loads and is easily restored after various damages. There are a large number of hollow compartments here, which are buoyancy blocks – increased boat safety. In this five-meter boat, we incorporate such ergonomic parameters so that these 5 meters have the maximum internal space. In terms of driving performance, our task was to ensure maximum stability and sufficient passenger capacity. The boat has good speed, good handling, while it behaves quite stably on the waves.

The first ten units have already been delivered to the troops. The new ship is designed for navigation in hard-to-reach areas of the Barents Sea, but its functionality is also suitable for special operations. The boat's hull is made of high-strength polyethylene, providing easy repair even in the field. The unique shape of the boat's hull reduces wave formation and noise, making it effective for landing on rocky shores in bad weather.

Tests for the boat were arranged by activists of the People's Front, who opened fire on the boat with a machine gun and threw grenades at it. Despite this, the vessel sustained only minor damage and remained afloat. In total, it is planned to transfer 40 such boats to the disposal of the Ministry of Defense for use by special forces units.
