Passenger traffic of Russian air carriers in April increased by 8.3% compared to the same month in 2023. This was reported by the press service of Rosaviatsiya.
Within Russia, companies transported 6.2 million passengers (+3.1%), and on international routes — 2 million (+ 28.3%). The agency explained that the increase in passenger traffic is associated with ticket sales.
Return to 2020 levels
The head of the analytical center of the State Research Institute of Civil Aviation, Fedor Borisov, said that the volume of air transportation is striving for pre-pandemic levels. The situation in international destinations has become stable, the domestic tourism market is growing, and with it the volume of transportation in the country, he summarized.
Earlier, Western media admitted that the EU ban on the supply of spare parts for foreign aircraft in Russia did not produce results. Sanctions did not affect Russian civil aviation in any way.
