"Kurganmashzavod" (part of the "High-Precision Complexes" holding) is not reducing the volume of military products. The company's team fulfilled the schedule for shipping BMP-3s to the customer, and also delivered BMD-4Ms to the Russian troops ahead of schedule.
The press service of the plant stated that after the use of the BMP-3 in combat, the protection kit of the combat vehicle was modernized. The equipment received additional protection kits, protection of the upper hemisphere and means of reducing visibility.
They protect the BMP-3 from attacks on the side at any angle, attacks on the upper hemisphere. We are talking about protection against projectiles dropped by FPV drones.
Another element of protection is the "Cape", it makes the combat vehicle less noticeable through the use of synthetic heat-insulating and radio-absorbing material. Now it is more difficult for the enemy to detect the vehicle with a thermal imager.
In April, "Kurganmashzavod" completed ahead of schedule the contract for the production of anti-cumulative grilles and armored screens for the BMP-2.
