The former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg assembled 2,100 cars under the Solaris brand in April. Alexey Kalitsev, CEO of AGR LLC, which owns the assembly site, was pleased with the results.
The assembly of cars, as well as shipments to dealers, are in full swing according to previously planned plans. In the near future, the Solaris dealer network will undergo a long-awaited rebranding, as well as an expansion of the list of partners.
According to him, the company is working to strengthen the position of the Solaris brand in the regions and improve the quality of customer service.
Note that the car plant has increased the production of Solaris to 142 per shift. Currently, only HS sedans (renamed Hyundai Solaris) are being assembled. The remaining models — renamed Kia Rio, Kia Rio X-line, as well as Hyundai Creta — are frozen until September, according to informed sources.
As a reminder, the "AGR Automotive Plant" includes stamping, welding, painting and car assembly shops. In total, 5,100 cars have been produced since the start of production.
