The Voronezh branch of PJSC "Il" - VASO has sent another set of pylons for the Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft (deep modernization of the Il-76) to Ulyanovsk, the UAC press service reported.
According to Igor Butyrin, head of the Il-76 program at VASO, workers are preparing engine nacelles, flap tracks, and compensators for shipment to Ulyanovsk.

He noted the great work of the employees of the UAC Specialization Center, who were involved in the production of these parts of the aircraft. The center also manufactures units for aircraft that VASO makes in cooperation with other UAC enterprises.
The corporation's press service clarified that the next set of pylons will be the first to be fully assembled using new technology and on new jigs. This was made possible thanks to the work of the employees of the VASO Engineering and Technology Center.
Earlier it was reported that the branch of PJSC "Il" – Aviastar in Ulyanovsk began to use equipment printed on a 3D printer, with which it is possible to assemble parts faster of the aircraft.
