Дроны не страшны: катера «Шмель» и «Кальмар» оснастят защитой от БПЛА

Both boats will form the basis of the revived Dnieper Flotilla

Boats 1204 "Shmel" and 1206 "Kalmar" will join the Dnieper Flotilla. Both vessels will be equipped with devices to protect against UAVs. This was reported by two sources to TASS news agency.

According to TASS sources, "it is planned that the Dnieper Flotilla will initially receive armored boats of project 1204 code "Shmel" and high-speed landing boats 1206 code "Kalmar" from the Caspian Flotilla. All of them will be equipped with "umbrellas" against drones."

Additionally, it was said that "both projects are designed for operations in shallow water with the ability to independently move off the ground in case of grounding."

There has been no official confirmation of the information received yet.

Armored boats 1204 "Shmel" are designed to operate in river basins and coastal shallow sea areas. Landing hovercraft of project 1206 "Kalmar" are designed for landing troops on an unprepared shore.
