В России появится первый 3D-принтер для крупногабаритных деталей

The device will be equipped with selective laser melting technology for use in mechanical engineering

Russia will create the first 3D printer with integrated selective laser melting (SLM) technology. It is planned to use it to create large-sized parts for use in the aerospace industry and mechanical engineering. The project will be implemented by specialists from Onsint and TekhnoSpark.

It is planned to create two models of 3D printers, with one and four lasers and a power of 500 and 1000 W. The production of one of the models will start this year. Testing of the device will begin in 2025.

In the near future, the Russian engineering industry will need dozens of such 3D printers per year. Now they can only be bought abroad, and, as practice shows, these are huge risks. The implementation of the Onsint and TEN group project will provide the industry with a Russian 3D printer for printing large-sized products made of titanium and heat-resistant alloys.
Oleg Lysak, General Director of the TekhnoSpark group of companies

It was previously noted that Russian scientists developed a unique 3D printer for the needs of the nuclear industry.
