The auto giant sees great prospects in hybrid technologies

AvtoVAZ representative Alexander Vinogradov said at the Autonet conference that the plant is working on a prototype car with a hybrid power plant. The gasoline engine will rotate the front wheels, and the electric motor will rotate the rear wheels.

Vinogradov explained that the company sees much greater prospects in hybrid technologies than exclusively in electric ones.

Note that AvtoVAZ does not even have electric models in its lineup now. The first batch of e-Largus is still being tested in Izhevsk. Perhaps cars will start rolling off the assembly line in the summer of 2024.
