The Kalashnikov concern has presented the Karakurt reconnaissance drone to specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The demonstration took place today at one of the military department's sites. Representatives of the developing concern spoke about the advantages of the new UAV.
Karakurt is a mini-reconnaissance UAV capable of conducting real-time aerial reconnaissance. A special feature of the reconnaissance drone is the maneuverability of launching in confined spaces from a compact transport and launch container.
Other devices were also demonstrated at the show. Among them are the SKAT 350M reconnaissance UAV and the Quasimachta equipment lifting system.
The need for Karakurt-type UAVs has been confirmed by the military. All new models are created taking into account the priority areas in the field of Russian defense.
Earlier it was reported that Izhevsk беспилотные системы (part of the Kalashnikov concern) will increase production of UAVs tenfold in 2024.
