Russian engineers are creating an electronic intelligence (ELINT) and electronic warfare (EW) vehicle based on the "Triton" amphibious vehicle, according to one of the developers speaking on condition of anonymity.
The prototype is being made based on the LuAZ chassis
According to him, the "Volnorez" complex will be installed on the vehicle for jamming and electronic intelligence.
The engineers took the LuAZ chassis, considering it a "survivable" vehicle for driving through water obstacles. It will be equipped with a new engine and transmission. This will allow for effective monitoring of enemy EW assets.
It is expected that the amphibious vehicle may become a carrier of a swarm of FPV drones in the future.
Earlier it was reported that the "Triton" is being developed by the company "Argo". The amphibious all-terrain vehicle will cost no more than 2.5 million rubles.
