From April 25, 2024, to December 31, 2025, Russia is conducting an experiment to switch to electronic gradebooks and student IDs. The decision was made by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the Cabinet's press service reported.
The pilot project will be voluntary, and students of colleges and higher education institutions, residents, and graduate students can take part in it.
Where the documents will appear
The gradebook and student ID will appear in the personal account on the Gosuslugi portal. They can also be viewed in the mobile application.
The electronic version of the documents will help when buying discounted tickets for trains and public transport, to theaters, museums, cinemas, and concerts.
Traditional gradebooks will continue to be valid
The digital version of the student ID can be presented at the entrance when visiting the university. At the same time, the use of electronic documents does not cancel the paper version.
The experiment was entrusted to the Ministry of Education and Science, Rosobrnadzor, the Ministry of Digital Development and other relevant departments.
