Russia is working on another water drone. It is noted that the development of the SDB SAMI FEB RAS will operate autonomously. For this, the drone will be equipped with artificial intelligence. The drone will be tested for the first time in the format of the "Archipelago" intensive program (July 8–21) at a marine test site in Sakhalin.
Sakhalin is not the first time to become a testing ground for unmanned systems. The region is at the origins of the development of the industry, which in the future promises to enter our lives tightly.
Our region was the first in the country to deliver medical cargo from one municipality to another using a fixed-wing drone. We were the first in Russia to launch a drone training program in schools and a UAV production workshop was opened.
Today, UAVs are actively used not only in the combat zone. Drones are widely used to search for lost people, unauthorized landfills or fire spots.
Earlier it was noted that the Ministry of Industry and Trade began accepting applications for participation in the competition for state support of UAV manufacturers.
