It has become known when the launch of the Russian heavy rocket "Angara-A5" will take place. Roscosmos announced that the rocket, which was brought to the launch complex of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, has been approved for it by the state commission. Less than a day remains before the launch.
Fueling of the rocket with naphthyl begins at Vostochny: the state commission has given the go-ahead for this. The operation of the fueling equipment and the fueling algorithms, like the rest of the launch and pre-launch operations, have already been worked out by the cosmodrome specialists on the "Angara-NZ".
This is a special full-size accurate model of the "Angara-A5" in its natural size, on which all systems related to ground preparation for the launch of a real rocket were installed. It helped to work out the assembly, removal and installation on the cargo table, fueling, installation in the launch complex and launch events for the heavy rocket during 2023.
The launch complex for the "Angara" family of rockets is completely new, it was built from scratch. The launch from site 1A is on Tuesday, April 9, at 12:00 Moscow time.
The launch of "Angara-A5" will be broadcast live. You can watch it by connecting to broadcasts on YouTube or VKontakte of the state corporation.
The domestic Orion upper stage will help the rocket leave Earth. It allows the rocket engine to be turned on several times, adjusting the altitude, inclination and other orbital parameters.
