КамАЗ прекращает развивать линейку своих универсальных бескапотных грузовиков «Компас»

The last "Compass" of the final model of the line will be released this year

KamAZ will stop developing and producing new models of cabover trucks of the "Compass" family. In 2024, the company plans to master its final model "Compass-3".

However, the family itself in previous models will continue to be produced and localized. This became known in early March at the solemn ceremony in honor of the release of the five thousandth frame of the "KAMAZ Compass" cab.

In addition to the cab, the production of the frame, parts of the cab frame and stamping will be mastered. With the participation of other KamAZ plants, nodes and parts will be added.

"KAMAZ Compass"

This is a cabover truck of distribution class for work in the city and suburbs and intercity transportation. The family includes medium-duty low-frame trucks "Compass-9" and "Compass-12" and light-duty "Compass-5" and "Compass-6". In 2023, 4845 units of "Compass" of all modifications were produced.

The truck is popular with buyers due to its good technical characteristics, small dimensions, maneuverability, sufficient power and economy of the model.

A distinctive feature of all "Compass" is that special settings can be installed on their chassis - for example, "RIAT" created its line of urban garbage trucks "RIAT-ECO" on their base.

Also, isothermal and industrial vans, refrigerators, flatbed trucks with CMU, multilifts, tow trucks, aerial platforms and other additions are easily installed on their chassis.
