Стало известно о проблемах с запуском российской тяжёлой ракеты «Ангара»

The rocket exists and is ready - but all the documents important for the launch are missing

The management of Roscosmos State Corporation spoke about the problems with the launch of the heavy rocket "Angara", which is scheduled for early April.

According to Yuri Borisov, the head of Roscosmos, at the "Knowledge. First" marathon at the World Youth Festival, the launch infrastructure at Vostochny is almost completely ready for launch. But the builders did not provide all the documents to hand over the launch infrastructure. Documents justifying the costs of builders are 40% ready.

Therefore, we will most likely step on the same rake again. Because we cannot fail to launch "Angara", with such readiness, we will probably launch "Angara" in the first ten days of April. Well, then we will work with our builders, as in all our practical life, to eliminate all the shortcomings and provide us with all the necessary documents.
Head of Roscosmos State Corporation Yuri Borisov

Borisov explained that all the builders with whom Roscosmos worked on this part declared an estimate that grew 3-4 times by the end of the project, and the construction itself was stretched twice as long compared to the original plans.

At the same time, preparations for the launch in early April continue at Vostochny. The Orion upper stage for Angara-A5 has already been fueled with fuel and compressed gases, and is being prepared for integration into the space head unit for general assembly with the rocket. The Angara-A5 itself is undergoing control electrical tests, which are similar to a flight mission.

RIA Novosti, citing its sources, informs that the launch of Angara-A5 will take place between April 6-10. This is the first launch of a heavy rocket from Vostochny in its history.
