The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, following the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, announced the postponement of the start of serial deliveries of MC-21 passenger aircraft. According to him, this will happen no earlier than 2025.
Chemezov was asked whether import-substituted MC-21s would appear in 2024, as previously planned. But the head of the state corporation answered in the negative.
Most likely, it will be 2025, maybe even 2026
The reason for the postponement is incomplete testing. And mass production will begin immediately after its completion, he promised.

At the same time, the head of Rostec did not name specific dates. He added that we need to wait.
Last week, Manturov said that the import-substituted MC-21 would reach the final stage of certification by the end of 2024. Consequently, UAC will not be able to deliver the first 6 aircraft to customers this year, as expected earlier. The minister also noted that safety is important in airplanes, so there is no need to rush.
