The Russian government has approved a "roadmap" with changes to regulations in the field of tourism. In particular, when checking into a hotel, guests are allowed to present data from the "Gosuslugi" application instead of a passport.
The adoption of a government act on simplified registration of citizens at their place of temporary stay in hotels is scheduled for April 2024
It is specified that Russians will also be able to register in hotels using their foreign passports. In total, the document signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin contains 14 points. Most of the regulatory acts are planned to be prepared this year.
Gosuslugi is becoming a multifunctional platform for providing various electronic services. With its help, individuals can pay taxes, and medical workers can undergo accreditation. The portal will also allow you to track all SIM cards registered to the user.
