Новые московские электробусы КАМАЗ-6282 впервые уехали в Волгодонск

NefAZ and KamAZ helped the Rostov region after deliveries from another electric bus manufacturer fell through

The blue KAMAZ-6282 electric buses, well-known to Muscovites and visitors to the Russian capital, will soon be running on the streets of Volgodonsk. They still have stickers with the inscription "Moscow Transport" and other elements of Moscow transport, but...these electric buses are brand new.

Local authorities agreed with NefAZ and KamAZ just before the New Year on an emergency supply of transport to replace the one that fell through from another manufacturer, and "Moscow" ready-made buses arrived in the city

According to Vadim Kulesha, acting head of the Volgodonsk city administration, drivers will now undergo training from the electric bus manufacturers and pass exams. After that, the new buses will start running on the lines from February 1.

The electric bus routes will initially be connected to recharging points, but new routes will also be developed, according to passenger traffic. Eco-transport will be sent to the routes that become the most popular, and where it will be necessary to transport the maximum number of people.

Electric buses in Volgodonsk are part of the implementation of the national project "Safe High-Quality Roads" in the Rostov region. According to this project, forty electric buses and fourteen charging stations for them were to appear in three cities of the region by the end of 2023. Thirty electric buses from KAMAZ-6282 were purchased for Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, but Volgodonsk chose another transport manufacturer, the Vologda-based Trans-Alpha, and its Sirius electric bus.

At the end of November, Trans-Alpha notified the Volgodonsk city administration that there were difficulties with the execution of the order, and asked to extend the delivery dates of its products. But Volgodonsk refused to do this, and refused to fulfill the municipal contract unilaterally.

According to data from open sources, the termination of the contract came into force on December 11, and already on December 30, representatives of the city administration and journalists got acquainted with KAMAZ-6282 on the territory of MUP "City Passenger Transport".

KAMAZ-6282 is a Russian low-floor electric bus jointly developed by NefAZ and KamAZ. It has seats for 33-35 passengers, and can carry 85 people, including those standing.

The transport has a ramp - it will easily allow passengers in wheelchairs or with other disabilities, passengers with strollers, scooters, bicycles.

All electric buses are equipped with electronic displays and route indicators, a complex of video cameras with internal and all-round view, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
