Russian Railways will launch the first fully import-substituted analogue of the "Lastochka" electric train – the "Finist". The first localized electric train will depart from Yekaterinburg to Kamensk-Uralsky on December 28.
Initially, the "Finist" will run on suburban routes in the Sverdlovsk region, and from January - from Yekaterinburg to Karpinsk and Verkhoturye. It is possible that new electric trains will appear on the railway in the Perm region.
The localized ES104 electric train consists of five cars with 416 seats. The seats in the cars are arranged in 2-3 rows. The cabin has USB connectors for charging devices, and temperature control is provided.
The "Finist" has three toilets, unlike the "Lastochka", which had only two.
The ES104 electric train tests were carried out in October in Moscow. It was then reported that 22 such trains were being prepared.
