The Buryat Bura-10 drone, developed by specialists from Aerocom, conducted an experimental delivery of medicines. The drone flew over 200 km along the route from Ulan-Ude to the village of Khasurta in the Khorinsky district, and then returned to the capital of Buryatia.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Buryatia, Evgenia Ludupova, preparations for the experiment took about a month. Regional authorities plan to use the Bura-10 for cargo delivery, in the work of the disaster medicine service, and to assist firefighters.
Bura-10 is a fixed-wing UAV with vertical take-off and landing, equipped with 4 electric motors. The payload weight is up to 6 kg, and the flight speed is up to 130 km/h.
Earlier it was reported that Russian Post has frozen the project of delivering cargo by helicopter-type drones in Yamal and Chukotka. The company planned to use helicopter-type drones from Aeromax.
