Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk announced that her company has started working with China. Now sellers and manufacturers from China will be able to directly supply their goods to the marketplace.
The businesswoman noted that this will not affect the Russian business of Wildberries in any way. She explained that 90% of the company's income comes from Russia, and the remaining 10% comes from other countries.
Currently, Wildberries operates in countries friendly to Russia, including Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, and Azerbaijan. Before February 2022, the platform operated in the USA and some European countries, but was then forced to curtail its business.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that Wildberries introduced a commission for paying for purchases with Visa and Mastercard cards (both payment systems have left Russia). After user complaints, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia began checking the legality of the marketplace's actions. Soon, the Wildberries management announced the cancellation of the commission.
