The paddle passenger ship "Aurum", built by specialists of the "Lotos" production site (Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center), will make its first voyage in the summer of 2024, the United Shipbuilding Corporation said.
The "Aurum" motor ship is the second vessel of the PKS-180 project, its construction was carried out in the Astrakhan region. The lead ship of the "Golden Ring" project was launched in 2019, and in the summer of 2023 it made its first voyage from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.
The PKS-180 project is the construction of a three-deck motor ship for 180 passengers. The length of the vessel is more than 81 m, the width is more than 13 m. The motor ship is equipped with diesel generators with a capacity of 3x315 kW.
Earlier, the St. Petersburg "Engineering Center for Shipbuilding" showed renders of a new generation of "Zarya" motor ships on a water jet. It was also reported on the start of construction by employees of "Port Kolomna" of the first floating polyclinic.
