The Russian company "STC IT ROSA" has developed a secure messaging service called "ROSA Messenger" for business and the public sector. The program will be pre-installed on domestic R-FON smartphones.
The presentation of the phone itself and the "ROSA Mobile" operating system will take place on December 18 in Moscow. The press service of "STC IT ROSA" explained that "ROSA Messenger" will also be available to ordinary citizens. It is noted that the messenger includes functionality similar to that of Telegram.

The company emphasized that the smartphone and the new messenger are more protected from hackers compared to foreign counterparts. They do not have "backdoors" at the code level that allow spying on the device owner. For all hardware components of R-FON, drivers are written by Russian specialists, which excludes the possibility of such "backdoors."
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has included R-FON and "ROSA Mobile" in the register of domestic equipment and software. It is possible that "ROSA Messenger" will appear on mobile devices with other OS.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that the production of R-FON has been established in Saransk. The phones are already available for government procurement.
