The Russian logistics company PEC and the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) have agreed to cooperate with the unmanned truck manufacturer Evocargo. By the end of 2023, Evocargo's management plans to release about 100 highly automated vehicles (HATS, drones).
Evocargo unmanned electric trucks will operate in the closed territories of PEC. It is noted that the use of this type of transport will increase the efficiency of processes in warehouses, as well as reduce the number of incidents due to human factors.
In addition, Evocargo plans to cooperate with GTLK in the field of autonomous cargo transportation. The parties are currently working on proposals for the development of this market.
It is planned to prepare functional and technical requirements for autonomous truck tractors with a carrying capacity of up to 40 tons. Such trucks are used to transport goods over long distances.
It is known that Evocargo trucks are already operated by Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie, Sladkaya Zhizn and Marvel-Logistics. The official website of Evocargo indicates that its trucks will be useful for marketplaces, in distribution centers, at industrial facilities, in the fuel and energy complex.
Earlier it was reported that freight drones from SberAutoTech will enter the M-11 highway. KamAZ heavy trucks are also participating in the project.
