The Russian company Cognitive Pilot announced that all equipment installed on the Kirovets tractor was developed by domestic specialists. This refers to the Agro Pilot computer vision system based on artificial intelligence (AI).
The system allows the following agricultural manipulations: tillage, sowing, fertilization and chemicals application, grass harvesting, warning about collisions with other objects.
The tractor is controlled in autopilot mode thanks to a digital hydraulic unit that works with the standard hydraulic system of the equipment. Agro Pilot receives data from sensor sensors and generates signals for controlling tractors. Kirovets is equipped with dual-band GNSS sensors, an IMU sensor, a 3G/4G GSM modem and a LoRaWan standard communication unit.
Cognitive Pilot emphasized that the AI kit is resistant to vibration and temperature changes, and moisture ingress, as it is protected by a sealed aluminum case. All components - from harnesses to neural brains - are of Russian production.
Earlier it was reported that the use of unmanned tractors helped farmers save up to 30% on fuel, seeds and fertilizers.
