The first domestic HIFU therapy complex is undergoing clinical trials in Russia. Using high-intensity ultrasound, it diagnoses oncological diseases and removes tumors without surgery.
The device is a completely Russian development of the "daughter" of the Schwabe holding, the Novosibirsk Instrument-Building Plant. When creating it, scientists collaborated with the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
DIATER-M will work "in the field" for six months. In the summer, based on the results of the tests, it may be supplemented, after which it will be launched into mass production.
