The well-known Chinese Haval, founded in 2013, (part of Great Wall Motor - editor's note www1.ru) intends to start producing engines in the Tula region in early 2024, according to Andrey Akifyev, Executive Director of Haval Motor Rus.
According to him, the construction of the plant in the region is in its final stages. We are talking about production facilities that will be concentrated on the basis of the existing plant of the Chinese brand in the Uzlovaya industrial park.
The enterprise will occupy more than 10 thousand square meters of area, it is planned to produce about 80 thousand engines per year here. Haval's management expected that the workshops located here would be able to produce engines to provide about 90% of the brand's cars that come off the assembly line in Russia.
The implementation of the project was somewhat delayed - the plant was supposed to be put into operation last year. However, Haval is confident that the production line will be operational by the end of 2023.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation prepared a list of brands whose cars are recommended for purchase by departments for officials. The list included Chinese Haval. Currently, M6, Jolion and Dargo from Haval are represented on the Russian market.
It is known that law enforcement agencies in the Moscow region have already begun purchasing Haval. In particular, Haval Dargo crossovers have been spotted on the roads in the region.
