The Russian company «Megafon» will expand the lineup of button phones under the Fontel brand to 7 models by the end of 2023. Next year, the company plans to increase sales in the segment of button devices to 35%, this was reported by www1.ru in the press service of «Megafon».

The consumer electronics brand Fontel  was launched in early 2023. In January, the Fontel FP 200 phone went on sale. By the end of the third quarter of the current year, the brand accounts for 20% of all button device sales by the operator.

In light of the interest of Russians in button phones, the company has decided to expand the assortment. New phones will have a color display, FM radio, flashlight, dictaphone, player, alarm clock, calculator. Slots for microSD and two sim-cards will be installed in the devices.

According to David Borzilov, sales director of «Megafon», the cost of new phones will range from 790 rubles to 2990 rubles. Currently, such devices are especially popular among schoolchildren and the elderly.
