The Russian company "Megafon" will expand its lineup of feature phones under the Fontel brand to 7 models by the end of 2023. Next year, the company plans to increase sales in the feature phone segment to 35%, www1.ru was told by Megafon's press service.
The Fontel consumer electronics brand was launched in early 2023. The Fontel FP 200 phone went on sale in January. By the end of the third quarter of this year, the brand accounts for 20% of all feature phone sales of the operator.
Against the backdrop of Russians' interest in feature phones, the company decided to expand the range. The new phones will have a color display, FM radio, flashlight, voice recorder, player, alarm clock, calculator. The devices will have slots for microSD and two SIM cards.
According to David Borzilov, Sales Director of Megafon, the cost of the new phones will range from 790 rubles to 2990 rubles. Such devices are now especially popular among schoolchildren and older people.
