Developers at the Russian IT giant Yandex have launched a new feature in their own mapping service. Yandex Maps now warns about routes with sections that include toll roads, and also shows the cost of traveling on them.
It is specified that the service will show the price for traveling on a specific section, not the entire road. This way, motorists will be able to estimate costs and choose the optimal route.
According to the Yandex press service, the service also takes into account the time of travel. For example, if a driver calculates a route in the morning but will only reach the toll section in the evening, the app will show the tariff that is current for the evening. The feature is available to users of devices running the latest versions of iOS and Android operating systems.
It was previously reported that developers of another Yandex service, Yandex Lavka, have implemented a voice assistant function for making purchases.
