Chinese car manufacturer Chery Automobile plans to bring products of its subsidiary brand Cougar to the Russian market, according to sources from Izvestia.
The Cougar's first model to appear in Russia will be an SUV. This is not surprising given the demand of Russian drivers for vehicles of this class.
The Chery press service has not yet revealed when Cougar will appear in Russia, nor have they clarified details about the model lineup. They only explained that Cougar will be launched under the wing of JSC "Chery Automobile Rus".
Chery has big plans for the Russian market. It is expected that in December 2023, Chery cars will implement Russian services. This includes games, VKontakte social network, navigation with Yandex.
