Chinese automaker Chery Automobile plans to introduce products of its subsidiary brand Cougar to the Russian market, according to sources at Izvestia.
The first Cougar model to appear in the Russian Federation will be a crossover. This is not surprising, given the demand of Russian drivers for cars of this class.
The press service of Chery has not yet disclosed the date of the Cougar's appearance in the Russian Federation, and also did not specify details about the model range. They only clarified that Cougar will be launched under the wing of JSC "Chery Automobiles Rus".
Chery has big plans for the Russian market. It is expected that in December 2023, Russian services will be introduced in Chery cars. We are talking about games, VKontakte, and navigation with Yandex.
Earlier it was reported that by the end of this year, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro will appear in Russia. The car was presented at the Doha Motor Show.
