Irek Gumerov, director of KAMAZ development, announced at the International Automotive Scientific Forum (MANF-2023) the carmaker's plans for ten years.
As informed by the Telegram channel "Autopotok", buyers and auto experts are in for a lot of surprises. And this is not only the launch of the mass production of an unmanned cabin-less electric truck "Chelnok".
So, by 2025 it is planned to launch serial production of electric dump trucks "Hercules" and unmanned dump trucks "Jupiter".
By 2025, the large dump truck "Atlant" and the electric truck "Chistogor" will appear in serial production. By 2030, expect a mainline tractor on fuel cells and a large hydrogen bus.
Among other company projects in partnership with more than a dozen Russian universities are the development of logging machinery and snow-swamp vehicles. The niche of the latter is already being occupied by Russian car manufacturers. In particular, the world has already shown the unmanned snow-swamp "Kaluzhany".
Over the next ten years, the carmaker will develop and produce electronics for unmanned cars. Announced are domestic autonomous driving systems, development of technical vision systems and driver assistance.
Expect new developments in the lines of hydrogen power supply systems, fuel storage systems, fuel cell modules.
