Russian IT holding T1, which specializes in software development and robotization, plans to develop the production of unmanned vehicles and components. As part of this work, the T1 structure - TS-Fintech registered the brands "Rubin" and "Empaero" in Rospatent.
Product classes suggest that both unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and engines and related equipment may be released under these brands.
The company "Future Lab" said that T1 most likely will be releasing drones with a payload of at least 30 kg. Drone production may be established in the north of Russia. It is possible that we are talking about airplane-type drones or vertical takeoff units.
Experts believe, T1 holding employees have the necessary competencies for a full production cycle using only Russian solutions and components. However, import-substituted drones may be more expensive than Chinese ones.
Known that in June 2023, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, the T1 holding signed a cooperation agreement with the State Transport Leasing Company. Discussing production and testing of drones in the NAO area, they plan to create a company in the Arctic that would provide cargo delivery using UAVs.
In early November, it became known that "Russian Post" suspended the project, which envisages delivery of goods by drones in remote areas.
