This year, the "Best Industrial Design of Russia" award was established for the first time. Over 500 companies from various parts of the country participated in the first competition, and the jury selected 20 winners. Among the best was the luxury SUV Aurus Komendant: the jury awarded it in the "Design Product" category.
Aurus Komendant is a novelty for the domestic market: production in the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan started only at the end of last year. The car is large: its dimensions are 5380 x 2004 x 1820 mm, and the wheelbase is 3100 mm.
Komendant is built on the platform of the Senat sedan – the cars are equipped with a NAMI-4123 hybrid power plant based on a 4.4-liter V8 engine. The engine output is 598 hp, it is combined with a 9-speed KATE "automatic". The drive is, of course, all-wheel drive, and the price of Aurus Komendant starts from 33.7 million rubles.
