In Vladivostok, a solemn ceremony was held to accept the newest corvette "Rezkiy" of Project 20380 into the ship's composition of the Russian Navy. The ship was built at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
Today is a significant holiday for the entire Navy and, of course, for the Pacific Fleet – we are accepting the fourth hull built at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant – this is the corvette "Rezkiy". This is a significant name for the Pacific Fleet – the destroyer "Rezkiy" was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in 1942 and defended the Far Eastern borders of our homeland for many years, contributing to the history of the Pacific Fleet. And today, on this day, we are accepting the newest corvette, which is truly a fusion of thought, combat power, and balance of power.
"Rezkiy" is the fourth ship in the series of multi-purpose guard corvettes of Project 20380. It was laid down in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on July 1, 2016, and in 2021 "Rezkiy" arrived in Vladivostok to undergo a testing program. The Project 20380 corvette is designed to operate in the near sea zone and to combat surface ships and submarines, as well as to provide artillery support for naval landings during naval landing operations.
Armed with a long-range missile system, it represents a rather formidable force. Corvettes of this project have already served not only in the near sea zone, but also carried out combat service in the far ocean zone. The fleet needs them very much, and the industry is preparing to launch about four more corvettes.
The corvette is armed with the "Uran" anti-ship missile system, the "Redut" air defense system, torpedoes, a 100-millimeter AK-190 artillery mount, and large-caliber machine gun and grenade launcher installations.
