Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, Infinix и Itel уже устанавливают отечественный маркетплейс Android-приложений RuStore

But it is unlikely to appear on Huawei phones

Roskachestvo has revealed which smartphone manufacturers are complying with the requirements to pre-install the Russian application store RuStore on devices sold in Russia.

In fact, at the moment, the government's requirements are mainly being met by Chinese smartphone manufacturers - Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, Infinix, and Itel. As for other manufacturers, the question remains open as to how the end sellers will ensure compliance with these requirements, because companies that have left the Russian market are not interested in these pre-installations, especially if their product is shipped and sold in completely different countries according to all documents.

The organization noted that in order for RuStore to work on Huawei smartphones, Google services must be installed on them. However, this is impossible, as Huawei lost access to Google services after the introduction of US sanctions.

Although it is possible to install Google services on devices and then pre-install the domestic store on top, the manufacturer [Huawei] has already opposed these actions. This is an expected reaction, as such an add-on will greatly affect the performance of the device and the stability of the services.

As a reminder, RuStore became mandatory for pre-installation on electronic devices sold in Russia from January 1, 2023.
