The Sollers ST6 frame pickup truck premiered at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The vehicle will be produced in the region at the former Mazda plant.
Sollers ST6 is a Chinese JAC T6 pickup truck, but with different badges. JAC T6 has been sold in China since 2016. It can still be bought in Russia, but after Sollers ST6 goes on sale, JAC T6 sales will be discontinued.
The pickup is equipped with two 2.0-liter engines: a gasoline engine producing 177 hp, and a diesel engine producing 136 hp. The transmission is exclusively a 6-speed manual. The vehicle's payload capacity is 750 kg. The pickup is equipped with a rigidly connected all-wheel drive system with a low range.
The price of Sollers ST6 has not yet been announced, but it is highly likely that the price will be the same as that of JAC T6. Sollers expects to produce 500 ST6 units by the end of the year.
Earlier it became known that Sollers planned to launch the assembly of an electric vehicle at its plant in Ulyanovsk. It will be a small-tonnage Argo truck.
