The company "Ingosstrakh" successfully started testing real operations with the digital ruble: digital rubles were used to pay for accident insurance in the company's Moscow office. Also, insurance was sold in Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod using digital rubles.
Pilot tests operate in 11 cities in Russia, and several hundred people have opened digital wallets. "Ingosstrakh" will sell insurance policies for digital rubles to approved participants of the testing until the end of this year.
Together with our partners, we are doing a lot of work to test the digital ruble. This pilot project is the merit of the "Ingosstrakh" team, and I am sure that thanks to such experience, the employees will gain unique skills in working with the digital ruble so that in the future our customers can choose the most convenient payment option for the policy throughout the country.
