The head of the Moscow representative office of the Crimean company "Roboavia", Valentin Kiselev, told that the Black Sea Fleet may be equipped with a reconnaissance drone of the aircraft type "Sarych-2".
Our reconnaissance drone "Sarych-2" is now undergoing state tests. We have also conducted separate trials at the Black Sea Fleet. In addition, batches of these drones were purchased for some units funded by the government of Crimea on special order.
According to the representative of the developer, the take-off mass of the drone is 14 kg, the maximum flight altitude is 5 km, and the maximum speed is 108 km/h. "Sarych" has protection against electronic warfare systems.
Our development is equipped with a video camera and a thermal imager – it has a 60x zoom in HD format and an on-board computer installed on the drone. With the help of machine vision, "Sarych" can detect enemy equipment at a distance of up to 2.5 kilometers. The drone's on-board computer tracks and calculates its coordinates, significantly easing the operator's workload.
Interestingly, the drone is built with algorithms that allow it to return to base even in the event of a total loss of contact.
The maximum flight time shown in the tests was 4 hours and 22 minutes, although "Sarych" was practically empty and flew under ideal test conditions. In real combat conditions with wind and enemy action, this drone can fly for about 2.5 hours.
