Speaking today at the iMAF-2023 forum, AvtoVAZ representative Alexander Vinogradov - head of the department for interaction with federal authorities and industry organizations - showed a presentation in which the launch time of the Lada Aura sedan into production was indicated.

«Start of production: in August-September of the business-class sedan (Lada Aura). The project will only be successful with confirmed stable demand», - it is written in the presentation.

Recall, Lada Aura is a "stretched" by 25 cm version of Lada Vesta. This car will have a cabin made of natural leather of Russian production and a modern audio system - better than that in Lada Vesta. Under the hood of the Aura will be a 1.8 liter engine with 122 horsepower, it will work in conjunction with a variator.

In light of Putin's decision to switch Russian officials to domestic cars, Lada Aura is being considered as one of the main candidates for this role. However, the officials will have to get by with used foreign cars for another year.
