The Deputy General Director of UAC for Civil Aviation, General Director of JSC "Yakovlev" Andrey Boginsky reported that they are looking for a replacement for the German engine for the Yak-152 aircraft in Russia
We are looking for opportunities: partners for the import substitution of the German engine, who could engage in engine production. There are several Russian companies ready to take on this task.
The Yak-152 is used for initial training and professional pilot selection at an early stage of training. It is equipped with a V12 RED A03T piston diesel engine.
The head of JSC "Yakovlev" reported that aircraft manufacturers are "in dialogue" with companies ready to take on engine production.
I can’t give a timeline, but the work is going on, no one is giving up.
