The Kaliningrad plant "Baltic Star" has launched the production of new bicycle models - with carbon frames. Compared to traditional aluminium ones, they do not have more rigidity and strength, while their weight - is lower.
The governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, tried one of such bicycle models - Stinger Genesis - during his visit to the enterprise.
"Thanks to the entire team of the 'Baltic Star'. Despite the covid and sanctions, there was no decline in production volumes at the enterprise, on the contrary, they grew, reaching over a billion rubles in turnover last year. The work done over the past years at the enterprise is impressive. Most importantly, there are new plans for development, in the implementation of which both the regional authorities and federal structures assist", - said the governor.
"Baltic Star" is one of the three largest enterprises in its industry in Russia. It specializes in the production of mountain, urban, road and children's bicycles, steel frames and forks for bicycles under the Stinger, Novatrack, Foxx, Mikado brands. According to the results of last year, "Baltic Star" produced about 150 thousand bicycles.
